Staring at her from far away.
I never could figure out what to say.
After losing her father in the mine.
I knew it'd take some time to be fine.
but I never expected to see her there.
Alone in the street, living on a prayer.
I did what I could, and burnt the bread.
My mother smacked me on the head.
but it was worth it, to see her then.
With the black bread in her hands, she could eat again.
From then on she started to fight
She wouldn't let her family die, she'd hunt day and night.
I watched from a distance, and fell in love.
Until came the hunger games, in which we'd take part of.
I told all of Panem that I felt for her
and after that it all seems a blur.
Fighting and killing the opponents we faced.
Then pulling out the berries in our haste.
I then found out her love was a trick
Who was I kidding, I didn't have a chance with the chick.
She was strong, a fighter and I was not.
but we feigned love for the capital, until we got caught.
We tried hard to prove our love for another.
We didn't fool Snow, but we did every other.
Still into the arena we went, to fight for our one last time.
But somehow she broke out, and the capital took me for bait.
They drugged me, lied, and told me to wait.
That one day I'll get the chance to kill her.
but all of my thoughts had a slight blurr.
Eventually they rescued me.
but Katniss was a mutt, they didn't agree.
I tried to kill her, strangle her, dead.
But somehow the doctors got in my head.
I knew some how she loved me, deep inside.
And eventually it was her to who I'd confide.
After the loss of many friends and foes.
Our story finally began to close.
We went to district twelve to live
But it was the capital who we'd never forgive.
Secluded, with few around.
our lives began to calm down.
And even though it's been years,
we still are trying to beat our fears.
But together we live with two children of our own.
Together for good, our names forever known.
